Feature Article: The premier shows new interest in rail transportation, even if a high-speed link between Calgary and Edmonton remains on the sidelines because of cost.
Also in this week's edition:

- A plan to link growth in government spending to population growth and the inflation rate is underway; one sign the government is serious is a project to create a made-in-Alberta inflation measure.

- Cold Lake wanted a dissolution study; it's getting a municipal inspection instead, as have several other communities in recent years.
